Sundays

We warmly invite you to join us this Sunday at 10:30 am for a vibrant service filled with contemporary worship and a welcoming community.

When
We meet every Sunday at 10:30am, finishing at about 12:30pm

Where
The King’s Church, New Road Avenue, Chatham, Kent, ME4 6BB

If you can’t make it in-person, then you can always watch our Live Stream Here.

What to Expect

At 10:30am, we’ll open in prayer and head into our time of praise and worship. People usually stand, some dance, some put their hands in the air and some may sit quietly. Our worship style is lively and enthusiastic. Sometimes people may share a word from God with the congregation during worship time.

Around 11am, we usually have the notices, but sometimes go straight into the Word of God. At this point the Youth will usually be asked to go out to their Youth service. The sermon will usually last about an hour.

At the end we have another time of worship and sometimes have a ministry time too where people can receive prayer.

Church is normally finished by about 12:30am.

Refreshments

Tea, coffee, squash, water and biscuits are available in the back hall from 10:15am and also at the end of the service. (Please keep hot drinks in the back hall area.)

Getting here

The King’s Church Chatham is located on New Road Avenue, (postcode for sat nav ME4 6BB).

The main entrance is at the front of the building but if you need to avoid stairs, you can use an alternative entrance towards the top of the car park.

Our stewards will greet you when you arrive & help you find a seat and they can also help with carrying any pushchairs or car seats up the stairs if needed.

We have some parking available onsite in the church car park and across the road in Shekinah House car park (through the first gate on your right at the top of Manor Road). On street parking is available nearby on New Road, Fort Pitt Hill and Manor Road (remember to pay at the meter or use the Ring Go app). We’re always grateful for anyone who’s willing to use the street parking to free up the church parking for those who really need it.

We’re also very close to Chatham Station for those who want to travel by train.

There are several bus stops nearby and we are also a short walk from Chatham Waterfront Bus Station where most buses stop.

Got kids?

Créche

If you’ve got kids under 2 (or young children who would rather stay with you during the service), we have a creche room available. This is a place where mums can nurse/feed their babies, change nappies and watch the live service on TV from the comfort of a sofa whilst their child naps or plays on the floor with some toys. You can also sit in the back hall with your children if that works better for you (there’s another screen so you can watch the service).

King’s Kids

Our children’s church King’s Kids is for children aged 2 to 11 (end of primary school). We have different classes for different ages and we follow the Go! Curriculum. You’ll need to fill out a form the first time your child attends. Parents drop their children off at King’s Kids reception by the main entrance to church and will be given a wristband to collect their child at the end. Registration starts at 10:00am and closes at 10:30am.

Youth

We have a youth programme for Secondary School aged children. The youth will be invited to go out and join the youth service at the end of the worship in the main service. They are then escorted across the road to Zion House where they meet and are escorted back at 12.30 to be reunited with you.

Family Service

The first Sunday of each month is our family service, this is usually a more interactive service aimed at engaging people of all ages. Our children and youth will join us in the main service for this. We also have communion together at each family service.
