HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHURCH!

Pentecost Sunday.

This month we commemorate the birth of the church that was launched with such anointing & power that fell upon the disciples of that day by the Holy Spirit of God.

What an amazing day that was!

Holy Spirit manifest among the faithful, filling them all and imparting gift of tongues.

Peter fresh from his horror of denying Jesus now stands up, with the 11, to declare Jesus risen!

Expounding the Old Testament scriptures Peter led their attention to Christ crucified & now resurrected & exalted & seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.

As Peter preached the people cried out “Men & brethren. What shall we do ?”

“Repent “,cried Peter,” & be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”

That day 3,000 souls heeded his instruction and were added to the church.

Praise God for evermore!

Shall we see such days again?

I believe we will if we will but change our thinking and our ways.

Holy Spirit was able to move that day because of 3 things the believers did t

hat we must emulate if we too want to live continually in His fullness.

Acts 2:1

2 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

So on that Pentecost day, the disciples were present,

they were together

and they were of one accord

they were present, in one place, making up the body.

They were together, in one place, supplying the body

And they were of one accord, in one place, serving as the body

The Apostle Paul wrote in Eph 4

15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

Church isn’t church without you

Whats missing?

U R.

Covid unfortunately has left a legacy on the church. Some Believers who craved fellowship in lockdown now do not present when its available.

That means the church as a body is lacking in the supply God has given exclusively to you.

The thought that “Online is fine” is fallacy.

You are missed. You are important. What God has placed within you is vital to the work He has for us all.

Don’t leave us lacking. Come back to church.

Come back with your supply.

Come back and serve God alongside us

as we seek to see this city saved to the glory of God!
