King's Kids is the children's ministry of King's Church Chatham. King's Kids provides spiritual care for children aged 2 to 11 (end of Year 6). Our aim is to teach and encourage children to develop their own personal walk with God, through learning, being in His presence and exploring His word.

 

We believe that each child is unique and created by God with their own personality, gifts and abilities. We aim to help each child to identify and develop godly character, their God-given ability and to explore God's call on their life.

 

To help facilitate this we have four different age groups in King's Kids:

 

Little Sparklers:    This class is for children aged 2 to 3.5 years.

Praise Makers:       This class is for children aged 3.5 to 5 years (until they have completed Year R at                                          school).

World Changers:   This class is for children who are in Year 1 to Year 3 at school.

Faith Generation:  This class is for children who are in Year 4 to Year 6 at school.

 

We provide a fun, loving and stimulating environment where children can grow spiritually, socially and emotionally. The curriculum that we use provides a Christ-centred, Bible-based teaching that is relevant to the children's lives and empowers them to lead and impact in every sphere of life.

 

We aim to introduce and reaffirm basic Christian concepts to the children (i.e. God knows all about us, He made us and He loves us and many others!) to provide a loving atmosphere of caring and sharing among leaders and children, and to cultivate a constant awareness of Jesus among us in all that we do.
