In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons. - 1 Timothy 3:8-10

In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jews among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables. Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.” - Acts 6:1-4

Department leaders

If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honour him. - John 12:26

The Department Leaders at King's Church Ministries are those who head up the specific areas that the church is involved in - from outward ministries like Caring Hands and Light the Way, to the internal departments like Finance and Stewarding.

Paul Akinbadewa

Paul is one of the elders of King's Church Ministries and lives with his wife  Denise and their two children, Jesse and Kemi. Employed as an electrical engineer, Paul heads up Light the Way, our overseas ministry - spreading the gospel alongside practical provision by installing solar panel systems in remote or impoverished parts of the world.

Paul and Denise also lead one of the Life Groups in Walderslade.

Thomas Smith

Caring Hands

Thomas lives in the King's Community with his wife Kerry and their family. Together they run King's Youth as well as the youth services on Sundays.

Thomas is the manager of Caring Hands.

Salestyn David

Chatham Worship

Salestyn loves sports and works for a Christian sport charity, Kick Kent. He is also one of the leaders at King's Youth, but his real passion lays in Worship. His heart for seeing God glorified and his vision for seeing the Worship Team do all they can in ensuring this has resulted in so many true giftings emerging in the team. Now much of what we sing on Sundays has been written in-house by the team and, through hard work and faithfulness, they are pushing forward to bigger and greater things.

Max Allen

Max has been attending King's Church since he became a Christian in 2008, at the age of 16. He now lives in the King's Community and works full time at the church under the role of Media & Design Manager.
